Chelsea Barracks
The original Chelsea Barracks were built in 1862 and demolished in 1960 to make way for 2 tower blocks which housed four companies from the Guards Regiment. The site was vacated in 2008 and plans to redevelop the area for housing began.
The redevelopmentof the 12.8-acresiteincludes:
- 448 residential units including 123 affordable units
- 7 garden squares
- Public sports facility with a swimming pool
- Spa
- Medical centre
- Community centre
- Local convenience shops
- 5 acres of public squares, streets and gardens
- 100 new trees
- Children’s play space
Atlantic were tasked with PhaseOneof the project. The three blocks that makeupthis phasecontain 74 apartments that range in size from 1 to 6 bedrooms.The scope of works included the design and installation of:
- Bespoke and Oak Veneered Doorsets
- Bespoke Skirting
- Ironmongery
- Hi Gloss Pre-Lacquered Doors
