Palmerston Court
Palmerston Court, located on the Southside of Battersea Park Road, opposite Battersea Dogs and Cat Home. Comprised of three student buildings and a dedicated commercial building, the proposal steps in height and twists to open key views with unifying base around courtyard gardens. The new buildings range in height from 11-19 storeys to create a varied silhouette. Together with the student accommodation is a new eleven-storey 40,000 sq ft steel framed office building.
Getjar’s scope on the project acting initially as Principal Contractor was demolition of several buildings, service diversion management, pile enablement works, secant and bearing pile installation for the new double story basement box, temporary works installation and basement evacuation.
Mace then took over as main contractor where we constructed the basement box followed by the construction of 4 cores and 3 concrete frames up to 19 storeys in height.
Works were carried out adjacent to Network Rail assets, Thames Water main trunk sewers and HV cable tunnels.
